Life can get hard sometimes. Trying to manage your job, your relationships, your finances… it can get overwhelming!

That’s why I love knowing that I can always use essential oils to help me find my balance and reconnect with myself.

Their soothing, relaxing power is amazing.

For me, nothing is quite as good at quieting down my 'inner chatter' as essential oils.

There are 5 essential oils that I've found particularly helpful for helping me manage stress.

1: Bergamot!

This light, fruity citrus oil is uplifting and positive. Bergamot essential oil relaxes and refreshes and is good for confidence building.

According to Gabriel Mojay ("Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit"), Bergamot oil has the ability to help disperse stagnant Qi-energy, freeing up emotions like anger, anxiety and frustration which, if left to fester, can lead to depression.  

It truly uplifts the spirit and emotions!

2: Atlas Cedarwood! 

Atlas Cedarwood is a very grounding essential oil, especially good for those times when you're feeling scattered or under a lot of stress.  

Diffuse it when you are having trouble concentrating, feel out of sorts or feel exhausted from the day.   

This is a go-to option for me when I've put in extra long hours at work and my head feels scrambled!

3: Frankincense! 

Frankincense essential oil has been used for centuries and is renowned for its calming and grounding properties.

I LOVE using Frankincense essential oil to aid in my meditation; it creates a spiritual atmosphere that helps to focus the mind and relax the body.

I notice that Frankincense helps me slow down my breathing; one of the first signs that I am starting to relax.

4: Geranium! 

Geranium essential oil has a wonderful green, flowery aroma that is both uplifting and calming.

Emotionally, geranium essential oil relaxes, restores and helps you maintain stability.

I love mixing it with Lavender essential oil and Bergamot to produce a delightful and soothing room freshener!

5: Lavender

As you probably know, Lavender has a velvety smooth aroma with a sweetness that's soft and floral, which gives it outstanding calming and antispasmodic qualities.

Excellent for balancing both body and mind!

This is one of the most versatile of essential oils; no one should be without a little lavender in their essential oil collection! 

I love adding a drop to my pillow before going to bed, so I can quickly fall into a deep, peaceful sleep.
